To wrap up the winter, and celebrate the end of grey lockdown, our good friend Lindsay at Lindsay Plank Events put together this super sweet Micro Wedding Editorial that we were so lucky to capture up in Gooderham, Ontario.

Who would have thought that we would be starting our wedding season off a bit earlier than usual last year? An intimate elopement became the norm for the season. Cathy, from Cathy Davis and Co. and I were the only two in attendance and had the pleasure of witnessing their marriage.
No-one could have predicted that just a short month later we would be under a nationwide lockdown. Weddings were being cancelled and postponed left and right, only to resume again in this exact fashion. Small, intimate weddings have never been something new, but they were definitely not mainstream until now. And as much as we love big traditional weddings with lots of drinks, food, and dancing, there is something ultra romantic amount a ceremony built for two, or ten.

This has been a great way for us to look back and reflect on all the incredible people we have met, moments we have captured, and events we have been able to partake in. But reflecting on 2020 in such a way feels not possible, since there really were not many events to look back on. The few that we had we are of course, beyond thankful for, and happy to have been part of, but if 2020 taught me anything, it was that my mindset (and I am sure many others) needed a shift.

Read MoreIn all the years that we have been photographing weddings, we have seen bouquets not make it to the ladies waiting, pass them completely, not even reach their direct, hit the ceiling and sprinkle down a slew of flowers, but this was a first. She landed it right in the chandelier! It didn't waiver at all, it just landed perfectly, believe me, we were watching. Thankfully one brave young ring bearer got up on his father's shoulders and pulled it down (safely).
