I am not quite sure we have ever posted studio work on our blog before. But if 2020 has taught us anything, it is time to PIVOT! (Any F⁠•⁣⁠R⁠•⁣⁠I⁠•⁣⁠E⁠•⁣⁠N⁠•⁣⁠D⁠•⁣⁠S' fan’s out there?!)

So, it is likely we will share a bit more of that, since there are currently less events happening. And while, I really, really miss being out in a field with a family, walking along the water’s edge with a recently engaged couple, or in a room buzzing with inspiration and incredible speakers, right now I will take the quiet confines of my studio produce content for Niagara creatives!

Niagara on the Lake Wedding | Prince of Wales | Leza + Michael

Who would have thought that we would be starting our wedding season off a bit earlier than usual last year? An intimate elopement became the norm for the season. Cathy, from Cathy Davis and Co. and I were the only two in attendance and had the pleasure of witnessing their marriage.

No-one could have predicted that just a short month later we would be under a nationwide lockdown. Weddings were being cancelled and postponed left and right, only to resume again in this exact fashion. Small, intimate weddings have never been something new, but they were definitely not mainstream until now. And as much as we love big traditional weddings with lots of drinks, food, and dancing, there is something ultra romantic amount a ceremony built for two, or ten.

The Atelier Collective | Ravine Vineyard

Today, we are taking a look back at the landscape last year, and a few things come to mind:
1. How was this just ONE year ago?! (2020 feels like it was ten years rolled into one)
2. Remember when this many people would be in one room?
and 3. Don’t you wanna go back to the good-ole-days when we could gather, drink wine, and eat dinner together at a table crammed full of ladies eager to learn, in a room full inspiring people + speakers?
