A Day Full of Tears, Right From the Start, Amanda + Paul, Niagara Falls, Eco-Friendly Wedding Photographer
When a family member asks me to photograph their wedding I am always super excited and then I get a little nervous! Being able to be a part of their day from the perspective of not just a guest but as the photographer too, adds a whole different dimension to the emotional side of why I chose to photograph weddings. It’s known by most that I already cry at every wedding I shoot, usually during the ceremony, but when the connection with the bride and groom is that much stronger, there is no telling when the tears will flow!
I was packing up my car to head to photograph Paul and his groomsmen when I noticed myself already getting a little choked up. I took a few breaths and told myself to hold on until the ceremony. The morning with the guys ran smoothly, and we headed over to see Amanda. After she finished getting into her dress, she turned around and someone turned on the faucet! I was standing there, camera to my eye, bawling! Of course when she realized, she started to get emotional herself and we had to hug it out. Thankfully my assistant that day, Jessica belted out ‘you know it’s going to be an emotional day when the photographer is the first to cry’ and that made us all laugh and broke the moment up nicely.
Please enjoy some memories of our day together!
