After a wonderful evening at Inniskillin Wines for their rehearsal dinner, we headed to Pillar and Post for Laura + Jake's wedding to continue the party.

Niagara Rehearsal Dinner at Inniskillin Winery | Laura + Jake

One of the greatest things about being a wedding photographer in Niagara on the Lake is that amount of diversity we get. Couples come from all over the world to get married here. That is pretty special.

Laura + Jake live in Manhattan, and chose Niagara to get married in last September. Similarly to many couples from the US, they have an amazing celebration the night before for the rehearsal but it includes everyone, not just the wedding party! We were lucky enough to be invited to capture that too.

They arrived and were met with about 15 of their closest friends and family to enjoy cocktails on the veranda, followed by what I can only imagine to have been a spectacular meal.

Niagara on the Lake Tea Ceremony | Queen's Landing

A lot of people do not know this about me, but I am actually a pretty traditional person. I love traditions and rituals, and am very excited to start some of my own, with my new little family of three this year (5 if you count the pups!).

I was so excited to hear from Jane (again, I was not available for her wedding as I was booked), when she inquired about me capturing the Tea Ceremony between her and Scott and their immediate family the day following their wedding.

Sofie + Justin had an intimate elopement in Niagara on the Lake, at Riverbend Inn. It was just very close family and friends, as the couple were both not from the area. Sofie is from Sweden, and originally Justin from the US. It was a pleasure to be part of their brief time here in Niagara.
